Almost 30 weeks!

Our Dr appt and ultrasound were today. Everything is still going great and Aubree is growing like crazy!! She is 4lbs already and is in the 90th percentile for growth rate. Her little cheeks and tummy are nice and chubby...so cute! We weren't able to get any good pictures of the ultrasound today, she was wiggly and kept turning her head away. We think she might be a thumb sucker, she always has her hand(s) up to her face/mouth when we see her. :)
We continue to pray for a safe and healthy last few weeks of pregnancy. The Lord has blessed us so much through this experience and we cannot wait for Aubree to finally be here.
We are headed to Albuquerque in the morning for our first baby shower. We are excited to see family and friends and spend some time up there. We look forward to sharing with you all the cool stuff Aubree gets!!

Kick, kick, kick!

Aubree is proving to be quite a wiggler!! She loves to move around, especially in the last couple of days. I feel like she hasn't stopped moving around:) It is so fun to just sit and watch my belly move like waves in the ocean. I absolutely love to just sit and hang out with Aubree during the day, she is the greatest company. I can't wait to actually sit and hold her as we spend our days together! Only 9ish more weeks until she is here...I can't believe it!! We are so excited!
Our next appt is one week from tomorrow which will include our third ultrasound. We are looking foward to see how different she already is. In just a month she has changed so much and developed a ton! The Lord is working on her and creating her day by day, it is so neat to think about. She is approx 2.5 lbs right now. Next week our Sonographer will be able to give us a pretty good idea of what Miss Aubree will weigh when she is born. She said, that by 28 weeks, it is easy to guestimate what the birth weight will be.
We are slowly getting Aubree's room ready for her arrival. We have 2 baby showers coming up and we are excited to see what other neat things we will get for her. It is such a blessing to have the things we have for her and to know that The Lord will provide even more things for our little girl! He has truly blessed us with such great family and friends that love and care for us. Aubree is going to be a very lucky girl to have such wonderful people surrounding her!
We will keep you updated as the next few weeks start flying by!!! Aubree will be here before we all know it! We Praise The Lord for 29 weeks of a healthy pregnancy and we are praying for another couple months of a smooth, healthy process:) We are certain that The Lord has great plans for us in the upcoming weeks, months( and years!!!) with the arrival of our little one!

Week 27

We are already in week 27! I cannot believe how quickly time is going by. If I am induced 2-3 weeks early like the Drs predict that I will be, Aubree will be here in 11-12 weeks! We are so exccited!
The three of us are in Taos for the week. It has been nice not having a schedule and to just be able to relax. Austin is going to play golf today. Aubree and I will join him for as long as we can take the heat. It is a lot warmer up here than we expected!
Aubree is growing so quickly and is approx 2lbs already! She is constantly moving around practicing her tumbling skills. :) I love having her keep me company as we chit-chat throughout the day. I can't wait 'til she can communicate with words!!!!

Today is the start of week 24 in Aubree's life! How exciting is that?!?! I am so thankful that she is healthy and apparently quite happy(she loves to kick, kick, kick!!) I have finally started to feel her move around and kick. It is such an awesome feeling, she keeps me company during the day;) Austin got to feel her kick for the first time yesterday and was so excited. I think Aubree wanted to wish him a Happy Father's Day! It was so fun to celebrate Austin(as well as our Dads and Gpas) yesterday. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful, Godly husband and am so thankful that Aubree will have him for her daddy! Aubree and I got him season tickets to the Aggie football games in the fall so he was quite excited.

This week Aubree will begin to swallow...wow! She is about 12in long and weighs approximately 1.25 lbs! She is getting bigger and bigger everyday! It's hard to believe that she will be 5 or 6 times that size when she arrives. My belly is starting to really get big and I am definitely looking pregnant!

We are continuing to pray that The Lord would give us a healthy pregnancy for another 14-15 weeks. We trust that He has fabulous plans for little Miss Aubree and cannot wait for her to arrive!

It's a girl!

That's right, we are having a baby girl! Aubree Lynn Kane will be here in about 4 months! We are sooo thrilled to have a happy, healthy, growing little girl! The Lord shows us His goodness in so many ways and today we got a very special glimpse of how awesome He really is! We are so excited for her to arrive and get to meet all of the special people in our lives!
Let the planning, shopping, and decorating begin!!! woot woot!

June 3rd

June 3rd...only two more days 'til we find out if The Lord is giving us a little girl or boy! We are soooo excited to find out!
Baby and I went to the Endocrinologist yesterday and everything looks fabulous! As far as my blood tests show, I am actually healthier(as far as diabetes goes) now, than I have been in years! Praise The Lord! My Dr was very impressed and excited about my progress during pregnancy. He said, "If anything goes wrong, it's not your fault." He said I am doing everything perfect and show up as "normal" on the charts. I was really glad to get that report.
Can't wait to give you all our update on Friday!

Space Case!

Yes, I am a Space Case! I have forgotten to update our blog in 6 weeks! Yikes!
We are now in the beginning of week 18! Baby Kane is getting bigger which means that Momma Kane's tummy is also getting bigger. I found myself starting to waddle a little today, it was pretty funny. Baby is still doing great, growing big and has a strong heart-beat! I haven't felt any movement yet and am looking forward to start feeling our little one here in the next few weeks! June 5th is our scheduled ultrasound to check the heart of our little one(because I am diabetic, the Drs. do some extra, more in-depth testing) and we will get find out if God is giving us a little Aubree(girl) or Brodie(boy)! We are so anxious to find out and to get going on the nursery. By that time our little one will already be 20 weeks old! It is crazy to think that I am about half-way there already since I will be induced 2-3 weeks early.
Austin and I are getting a little bit of "baby" practice with our new puppy, Roxy! We got her about a month ago when she was still a baby and is now 11 weeks old. She is growing sooooo fast, we are looking forward to our little one growing at a bit of a slower pace:) She has proven to be a good dog for us and has been easy to get used to. She has her hyper puppy times, but over-all has a pretty calm demeanor. She loves kids and will be a good "Big Sis" to our little one!
Baby and I don't have any appointments until the 5th. We will keep you all updated when we hear the "Big News!"
